Event Sales Account Executive in Grand Rapids, MI
- Position Title: Sr. Event Sales Account Executive
This position requires at least two to five years ofexperience working directly with Event & Wedding Organizers, Venue's, Not for Profits, Festivals, Gala's, and a Degree in Hospitality Management would be a huge plus. We are an event, wedding, corporate event rental company that has no borders when servicing an event with tents, tables & chairs. We are looking for someone who can handle a fast paced busy season, and in the off season reaching out to potential businesses.
- Position Tasks & Activities:*
Working with clients, venue's, not for profit's, & corporations to reserve rentals for their event or wedding.
Weddings, gala's, festivals, corporate events, are typical events you will be working with.
Getting to know our inventory, linen fabrics, point of sale system, CAD drawing software, Salesforce - CRM, are the typical things you will work on daily.
- Working Conditions:
* Typical work week is Monday thru Friday (9am - 5pm) and at least one Saturday (9am - 2pm) a month in the Summers. We are closed Saturdays in our off season.
* Most of the work will be done in general office conditions, some off-site, some could even be remote work.
* Work is fast-paced, demanding, and very rewarding in the Summer Season.
Fall & Winter Seasons are for reaching out to potential clients & venue's needing a rental company that has it all, and will travel just about anywhere for their event.
* Will be exposed to outside elements if needed for site inspections or coordination of events. Most of the site inspections will be done by our operations team, with the help of the person hired for this position.
- Education, Skills, & Requirements:
* 2-5 years relevant experience as an event coordinator, wedding coordinator, corporate event coordinator, venue managers, or has with a mix of coordinating fun events.
* A degree in Hospitality would be a huge plus.
* Must maintain a professional personal appearance.
* Must have a valid drivers license, with a good driving record.
* Must possess sales and customer relation skills.
* Computer knowledge is required. Training is provided for our point of sales system, CRM, and CAD Layout Software.
* Read, write, speak English clearly and legibly. Other languages a plus.
* Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
* Must be able to understand and follow instructions furnished in written, oral, and scheduled form and pass them on to personnel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $44,000.00 per year
