Who we’re looking for:
DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS TRAVEL SALES FOR OUR CORPORATE OFFICE IN BELLEVUE, WA.
The Director of Business Travel Sales is responsible for leading Staypineapple’s business travel direct sales strategy, and the team that is responsible to develop and maintain business travel accounts and customers. This important leadership role will provide coaching, account development assistance and ensure the sales team has the right tools, resources and skills to compete and win in every market.

- Lead by example and set high standards for the team to develop, maintain and implement direct sales strategy and action plans to generate revenues and achieve targets
- Motivate productivity of all sales staff through leadership, development and support
- Monitor and optimize team performance through evaluation of productivity reports (revenue and activity)
- Review and ensure deployment of team and resources are optimized to gain greatest returns
- Develop market strategies to include sales blitzes, in-market events and activities for existing and new hotel openings
- Manage team travel, in-market sales activities and trade shows to increase visibility in key segments and generate ROI. This includes creating and managing an annual calendar and budget.
- Understand and contribute in overall revenue management initiatives and strategies to ensure we are priced to compete in every market and maximize every revenue opportunity.
- Follow and coach Staypineapple Sales Process to ensure consistent guest experience and results.
- Manage and optimize CRM (currently Delphi on Salesforce) platform to ensure consistent use for managing customer relationships, sales activities and contracts
- Manage our external messaging, positioning and presence through all direct sales channels
- Track and report key metrics to include calls, production and actualized business weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Use online tools to include Hotelligence and others to understand comp set and inform strategy to win market share
- Develop annual and quarterly production/actualized and activity goals
- Establish sales targets for each individual, market and team
- Lead team in managing highest value accounts
- Conduct weekly team meetings
- Assess training needs, source and implement training solutions to address needs
- Hire and retain top talent for all sales positions
Your experience and qualifications:
- 2 or more years’ experience in hotel sales leadership preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong understanding of business travel and consortia segments
- Delphi Experience a plus
- Ability to effectively and respectfully communicate at all level of the organization
- Experience and knowledge around how to create strategic sales plans and effective, measurable sales activities
- Ability to think higher level and challenge status quo
- Proven ability to reason through business issues and challenges, and propose solutions
- Experience in directing and leading sales activities through internal and external resources
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team oriented environment
- Demonstrated performance management and coaching skills
- Business planning skills and budget management skills
- Creative and strategic skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
