Regional Director of Census & Business Development
- Provides support to achieve and maintain the center census goals and annual budget projections to ensure financial viability.
- Partner with the center and organization leadership in developing strategies to maximize conversion of referrals to admissions.
- Support the center quality improvement process by identifying customer service issues and communicate gaps to the Administrator in an effective and timely manner.
- Train Directors and Coordinators on the admission process from referral to admission
- Partner with organizations/leadership in updating Admissions policies and procedures
- Serve as liaison to PCC with Director of IT for admission functions with EHR (PCC).
- Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and resources and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
- Identify current Managed Care and Physician needs
- Act as a liaison between the company, center, and the community.
- Maintain resident/patient confidentiality and privacy; treat residents/patients with kindness, dignity and respect; know and comply with the Resident’s Rights rules and comply with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years’ experience in the SNF admissions process, and (3) sales/marketing in the health care field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including public speaking.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Must always possess appropriate professional demeanor.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient in computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Electronic Discharge Products.
- Must be able to work independently and possess exceptional team building and people skills.
- Able to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Must maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer regulations and referral development reimbursement. Be knowledgeable of center market and changes.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Must be flexible, detail-oriented, and be able to make effective decisions and work as part of a service excellence team.
