Role and Responsibilities
Position Summary:
This position will focus on driving market development in new Simulation and Training Programs (Project and Product) in the OEM market. The end-markets are companies offering medical devices and other medical products that require extensive training of healthcare professionals, especially relevant for the launch of new and innovative/disruptive medical devices.
Reporting directly to the President of CAE Healthcare, the Director of Sales, OEM Solutions will work extensively across CAE Healthcare functional teams to include- Product Management, Marketing, Project Management, Engineering and Customer Service.
The Director of Sales, OEM Solutions is expected to have a very significant impact on CAE Healthcare's growth and market position and will, to a large extent, be a key stakeholder in strategic decisions about the future portfolio of products and solutions offered by CAE Healthcare.
The role requires a unique blend of experiences and capabilities and appeals best to someone possessing high levels of curiosity and a propensity to think outside the traditional boundaries of technology applications and training functionalities.
Essential Areas of Responsibility:
In alignment with the strategic plan for CAE Healthcare, the Director of Sales, OEM Solutions will focus on driving the development and implementation of new and innovative training solutions in the healthcare markets. The essential areas of responsibility will include:
Manage the OEM Sales and Program management team to ensure all key financial and operational goals are met or exceeded.
Focus on developing C-Suite consultative relationships with current and potential OEM partners to identify overall program needs, pain points and gaps.
Own and manage the revenue and OI targets for training solutions.
Leverage existing network to create and maintain connections and influence future customer wants and needs and attend trade shows and conferences to gather intel on future products and services requirements as well as promote our company brand & capabilities.
Candidate Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have many of the following professional qualifications and personal characteristics:
Educational background to include a technical or scientific degree (advanced degree preferred), combined with an MBA or other business management or marketing degree. MBA is a must.
Extensive experience managing direct reports and delivering on high profile objectives and business plans.
Must be adept at consultative selling.
Ability to influence and effectively communicate at the C-suite level.
Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration required.
The ideal candidate will have some sales or other customer-facing experience; ideally a combination of business or management consulting with experience selling solutions into the healthcare provider industry.
Strong execution skills required.
Possession of exceptional business analytics skills and judgment with the ability to see "the big picture," as well as the details to meet objectives.
Ability to manage through influence and insight is required.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in advanced problem solving and decision-making.
Intimate knowledge of the US healthcare market is required. Global experience a plus.
