Main Duties & Responsibilities


The position is responsible for successfully increasing TriMas Aerospace’s market share by achieving sales revenue and profit goals within the assigned region.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals.
Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement.
Set quarterly and annual sales goals and motivate the sales teams to achieve goals.
Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of all TriMas services.
Manage the sales initiatives, operations, and resources to deliver profitable growth.
Define optimal sales force structure, to include both direct employee positions as well as augmenting with manufacturers sales agents.
Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives.
Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required.
Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions utilizing the CRM.
Monitor industry trends, customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback to the company leadership team and other company functions.
Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships.
Participate in strategic account planning and budgeting.
Prepares and manages monthly sales reporting.
Develops and implements marketing strategies, promotions, literature, and competitive information.
Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, sales volume potential, and pricing.
Manages relationships between customers and TriMas Aerospace but without the need to be the single point of contact.
Communicates frequently with customers to ensure satisfaction and communicates effectively with Operations for corrective action opportunities.
Represents TriMas at trade shows and meetings to promote services offered and increase business volume.
Tracks and follows up on all generated sales leads. Ensure there is an effective new business development process which enables careful tracking of pipeline opportunities, actions to close, and ability to track win rate.
Ensures that new accounts are guided through the On-Boarding process.
Assists Account Receivable in matters of collection on an as-needed basis.
Lead all commercial negotiations to include contract reviews and coordinate closely with TriMas General Counsel for legal support.
Develop and lead a sound pricing strategy, ensuring we maximize pricing opportunity while remaining market competitive. Employ a “value-pricing” approach whenever possible.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of aerospace industry
Proven effective prospecting, presentations, and closing skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong Strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
Strong level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to perform under pressure efficiently without close supervision and meeting agreed-upon deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Computer literate and proficient in MS Office and CRM applications
Ability to travel frequently and on short notice

Education and/or Training:
Bachelor’s degree in business related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum of 7 years of sales leadership experience

The pay scale for this position ranges from $195,200 to $405,600 annually.
