Key Responsibilities:
- Navigate new challenges and opportunities in the competitive landscape and identify key opportunities for future growth
- Identify, articulate and execute a 2-3 year sector, product and/or business-building roadmap
- Identify gaps and opportunities in the product offering and pursue new products through internal development or strategic supplier relationships
- Monitor, analyze and communicate industry trends that impact strategic planning and growth
- Develop distinctive strategies that create value for key stakeholders, build unique capabilities, capitalize on current and evolving trends, and leverage/enhance competitive advantages.
- Manage key industry groups and association relationships to promote stronger customer engagement/growth, while ensuring the company’s brand strength and positioning
- Comply with business process rules and proven ability to streamline any/all transaction cycles without compromising the quality of customer experience
- Identify and prioritize growth strategies based on market potential; gain alignment with the leadership team and deploy company resources accordingly
- Maintain a close eye on the performance of the business and competitors by ensuring core KPIs are met, the drivers behind it understand and how we stack up against competitors in all core areas and potential new ones.
- Review key metrics and provide deeper analysis and insights that provide greater transparency into the industry, trends, and overall customer behavior
- Act as internal consultant to lead and manage ad hoc strategic projects
- Oversee strategic opportunities for high-profile accounts.
Educational Requirements:
- B.A. or B.S., preferably in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field
Experience Requirements:
- 10+ years of telecommunications sales experience with a mix of field and corporate level sales
- 5+ years experiencing working with Tier 1 and 2 accounts
- 5+ years of experience in a direct management capacity
- Proven experience and success in presenting plans to senior clients and influencing top level client decisions
- Proven experience as a leader within the industry with a history of proven success
