About the Role
APS is seeking a driven Business Development Specialist to join its team on a permanent, full-time basis. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter who will establish a network with industry specialists, maintain valuable client relationships, and negotiate deals.
Responsibilities
● Develop a growth strategy focused both on improving sales and customer satisfaction.
● Develop and implement a client outreach process.
● Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
● Research the latest in the marketing industry and create new opportunities to expand our business.
● Work with the necessary teams to profile and segment our audiences.
● Arrange business meetings with prospective clients and partners.
● Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
● Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc.
● Provide trustworthy recommendations and after-sales support.
● Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
● Develop entry-level staff into valuable salespeople.
● Travel to conferences, events, and client meetings in and outside of NYC (up to 25% or more.
Qualifications
● 1-3 years of business development and sales experience preferred.
● BA in Business, finance, marketing, or equivalent.
● Proficiency in Google Suite, CRM, and Email Marketing platforms
(ActiveCampaign).
● Experience in customer support.
● Ability to coach and lead a team in business development strategies.
● Must be able to work independently as well as on a multi-disciplinary team.
● Confidence and strong self-assuredness to succeed in cold-calling customers and making a sale.
Skills
● Communication and negotiation skills.
● Highly organized.
● The ability to build rapport with clients and customers is important.
● Ability to be proactive, organize and handle work under pressure.
● Proficiency in Spanish is a major plus.
● Ability to build a data-driven business growth strategy.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
