Business Development Project Specialist in La Vista, NE
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for planning, overseeing, and reporting for various business development projects. This includes coordinating support for existing products, product changes through the Change Control process, product onboarding, and new product development from approval to launch through all stages of Design Control. This position will be the main contact for internal stakeholders regarding various business development projects. This person will also assist with other business development efforts as needed to ensure success, consistency, and effectiveness in supporting Streck’s business strategy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
- Perform project management duties from project approval through launch for various opportunities involving existing and new products.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans to ensure scope and timelines coincide with Streck’s Design Control process.
- Confer with key stakeholders, including Product Management, Regulatory, Research & Development, Quality Control, Manufacturing and other personnel and departments as needed and applicable to support effective decision-making regarding business development projects.
- Conduct research and information gathering with departments to ensure accurate interpretation of technical, market, and financial data and specifications.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the project by demonstrating understanding of the technical, market, and strategic aspects.
- Initiate and manage objective documentation for business opportunities in accordance with internal processes as needed.
- Manage varying priorities on multiple projects including changes to project schedule and costs, product design concept, verification and validation, product external testing, and product launch checklists, while keeping key stakeholders involved.
- Organize material and complete writing assignments in accordance with set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, formatting, terminology and grammar.
- Perform other assignments as requested or required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline, engineering, business or another related field.
- CAPM or PMP certification preferred.
- Previous experience in project management or coordination role within a corporate or research environment, or related experience preferred.
- Dependable, well organized, detail oriented, and able to communicate effectively and efficiently, both orally and in writing.
- Extensive knowledge with Microsoft Office Product Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
- Candidate must possess superb verbal and written communication skills.
