Summary:

The Field Application Engineer will provide pre and post sales technical support and education for Exxelia Ohmcraft’s High Voltage and High Resistance Thick Film Resistor products. You will act as an integral technical resource for the sales and marketing teams while working with the engineering team to develop customized product solutions. Additional responsibilities include identifying and suggesting improvements to existing product lines and working with customers to enable access to Exxelia Ohmcraft’s high quality resistor products for their designs. You will be part of a team promoting business growth primarily by phone calls and email while supporting efforts in conducting webinars, videos, tradeshows and the development of newsletter articles.

· Encourage strategic relationships with clients and support thick film resistor pre-sales by providing product presentations.

· Understands how Exxelia Ohmcraft’s products fulfill the business needs of our customers.

· Able to articulate the overall Exxelia Ohmcraft value proposition.

· Assist Business Development Managers and Sales Engineers with the development of quotations by providing accurate and thorough customer design requirements.

· Interact with customer design engineers on choosing or designing resistors for their product or project.

· Support customers in their implementation and evaluation of thick film resistor products to develop solutions to their requirements.

· Work with the clients to ensure success of their designs.

· Work with Exxelia Ohmcraft’s design engineering team to evaluate new custom resistor designs.

· Develop pre-sales training material, co-develop sales strategies and deliver online or onsite customer training.

· Understands military and space resistor specifications for applications that require electronic components with high reliability.

· Occasional travel to visit customers and/or vendors may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Electronic Design with Passive Components with two to four years related experience and/or training.

Two to four years’ experience working with external customers solving their design challenges while focusing on product promotion.

Required:

· B.S. in Engineering or Engineering Technology from a four-year college or university.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, Teamwork, Self-Development, Decision Making, Presenting to Others, and Customer focus.

· Skills including Analyzing business processes, defining technical requirements, demonstrating functionality of products, interpreting technical requirements and product comprehension.

· Strong Mathematics and Reasoning ability.

QUALIFICATIONS (Continued):

Beneficial:

· High Voltage design experience

· B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology from four-year college or university.

· Field Applications Engineering experience

· Proficient with computer programs such as AutoCad and ERP systems

Exxelia Micropen is a dynamic, contemporary, high growth technology company with a unique electronic printing system used to design, manufacture, and sell a line of passive components and medical devices.

We are looking to add a Field Application Engineer to our Ohmcraft Resistor sales team at our Honeoye Falls, New York site to serve as the primary technical resource to the sales department.

Ohmcraft Resistors are custom designed and application specific. Examples of market segments and applications are precision instruments used in:

o Aerospace - NASA satellites, radar, flight controls

o Medical equipment – imaging equipment, defibrillators, patient monitoring

o Military and Defense systems – night vision goggles, electronic warfare, ordnance
