This position is responsible for overseeing all credit card accounting and settlement reconciliation processes for all domestic and foreign retail entities. This role reports to the Sr. Accounting Manager within the accounting organization in Olive Branch, MS.
This position will primarily be responsible for utilizing internal information systems to ensure cash collections for credit card sales are reconciled to POS reports transmitted to our merchant processors on a daily basis. This is a critical process as this makes up the majority of the company's sales. This role will require close coordination with the internal IT department as well as our merchant processors. A successful manager will must be able to work independently to identify and resolve issues within the process as well as to be able to engineer the process to make it more efficient and less manual. Strong communication skills, a collaborative style, and robust analytical and technical capabilities will be required to be successful.
The Accounting Manager - Credit Card Receivable position is located in Olive Branch, Mississippi.
You'll be excited about this opportunity because you will....
- Manage staff and day to day activities of the department
- Serve as primary contact for all internal and external business partners for any credit card reconciliation related issues or needs
- Oversee accounting close responsibilities include accounting for credit card fees (US and Foreign), private label credit card rebates & fees and bad debt recoveries for all sales channels
- Work independently with Technology department on various new credit card integrations, ensuring all information is adequately tested and working prior to sign off
- Reconcile credit card settlement to POS on a daily basis for all brands and sales channels
- Review and provide guidance related to company policies/procedures as it relates to our credit card reconciliation process. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
- Provide various analysis to leadership regarding trends, cardholder base, etc.
- Propose solutions streamline processes to make them more efficient and to correct credit card receivable reconciliation issues
- Audit support for credit card processes, as well as system testing as needed
- Ability to plan and lead projects through to completion in conjunction with other leaders throughout the accounting organization

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
- Minimum of six years of accounting experience
- Minimum of three years working in accounts receivable
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience
- Independent self-starter
- Strong systems and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Superior knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.
- Experience with ReconNet
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience and desire to solve challenges via analysis, including suggesting and implementing process improvements to resolve issues or streamline processes
