Position Summary:
The Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) Manager is a critical member of the Operations team supporting Resolve Surgical Technologies. Reporting to the VP of Operations, the SIOP manager will standardize and facilitate a monthly SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations) process to partner and ensure alignment among all partners including but not limited to business development, customer service, marketing, demand planning, operations, sourcing, and logistics. You will lead the implementation and execution of industry SIOP best practices, strategies, and overall maturity, and evolve processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior executive leaders.
In addition, you will influence and guide the implementation of our SIOP strategy at the organizational level and manage all aspects of the SIOP process while contributing to product reliability, inventory management, and attainment of organizational goals. This includes the development of the statistical forecasts for each customer segment and leading the monthly demand review meetings. To be successful in this role, you must be an adaptable leader who can coordinate a cross-functional team at varying levels of the organization. In addition, you must have the ability to manage large data sets from multiple systems.
SIOP Manager Job Responsibilities:
The SIOP manager will partner across Business Development, Customer Service, Marketing and Operations to develop and execute the optimal Sales and Operations processes, providing both a short and long-term rolling forecast and overall production plan that meets the sales forecast and available capacity.
The Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) Manage will oversee the monthly planning cycle for the Business Value Streams, and ensure finished goods production plans, raw materials replenishment programs align to the Supply Plans and achieve maximum customer satisfaction and ensure working capital remains within the business goals. You will ensure the network Capacity Plans and optimize the labor and machine resources whilst achieving the business goals for cost control, productivity and working capital. You will ensure the Materials, Machine and Labor Requirements Plans will satisfy production and inventory requirements driven by a Pull and Re-Order Point System
You will be closely involved in product lifecycle events and transitions to ensure the network supply strategy delivers on the product portfolio vitality goals. You will drive weekly and SIOP meetings to approve the supply plans and to present these and the associated risks and mitigating plans to the Business leadership in the Reconciliation and Executive meetings.
The successful candidate must be capable of translating objectives into a deliverable strategy to achieve business goals and create a competitive advantage of the product portfolio. Focusing on building a world-class team, utilizing, and deploying Lean techniques, driving continuous improvement activities and achievement of superior performance across all KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
You will create and drive a positive collaborative working environment and culture of continuous improvement throughout your organization to achieve the best possible outcome from your resources. You will lead the development of the cross functional teams to increase their skills and maturity for the SIOP process.
Key focus areas:
- Design, implement, standardize, and drive maturity of SIOP Processes, Materials & tools and across the businesses
- Facilitation of a consensus sales forecast
- Collaboration with Operations and planners to agree to a master plan and backlog recovery actions.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Business Development, Demand Planning, Master Scheduling, and Production to ensure that appropriate data is available, accurate, analyzed and digested to drive consensus and plans.
- Be the owner of the translation of the demand plan into a supply plan at the appropriate aggregated levels using a Pull System approach leveraging ERP.
- Facilitate the execution of the monthly sales, inventory, and operations (SIOP) process by handling meeting facilitation and collaboration between teams and consolidating information to publish to local and senior management teams including providing forecasted levels of inventory
- Develop and provide analytics (KPIs) to benchmark operations and define risks and opportunities to facilitate action plans for improvements
- Prepare all data and metrics for review, identify gaps and scenarios that must be presented, guide final decision making on open items and prepare escalations for executive review where appropriate.
- Document and communicate SIOP minutes, key actions, and decisions to drive organizational alignment and action implementation.
- Work with Business Development and demand planning team to ensure effective response to changes in the demand plan.
- Leverage industry best practices in analytics and continuous improvement to enhance the effectiveness of SIOP process
- Manage other SIOP-related activities as required to drive business decisions relative to improving service levels
SIOP Manager Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain
- Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in operations management, supply chain management planning, and/or forecasting.
- 5- 7 years of experience in the Medical Device industry (beneficial but not required)
- Broad end-to-end supply chain and operations process knowledge
- Strong verbal and written communications skills required
- Result driven with the ability to work well independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to multitask handling multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to manage, guide and motivate teams in a matrix organization
- APICS, CPIM or CPSM certification preferred
- Experience with SAP ERP systems using Pull System approach
