GARDEN CENTER / VEGETABLE GARDEN ASSOCIATE

Retail Horticultural Sales Associates work in the Garden Center assisting customers and caring for plant material. Candidates must have a passion for horticulture, plants, and gardening, and a willingness to cheerfully engage customers and create the best garden center experience that can be. Positions are seasonal (Spring through December), full-time or part-time, and must work every other weekend.

Role Responsibilities:

• Greet, assist, and checkout customers.

• Responsible for watering, maintenance, and care of plant material.

• Visual merchandising of garden center products.

• Receive new incoming plant material, apply price tags, and restock shelves.

• Other duties as requested by Manager.

Requirements:

• Some knowledge of plants. Previous gardening or horticultural experience preferred.

• Must be able to perform physical work outdoors under unfavorable conditions (cold, heat, rain).

• Must be able to lift 40 pounds regularly throughout the workday.
