The Role as a Customer Sales Planner …
We are looking for a highly effective communicator that can provide encompassing support to the Sales and Marketing teams. In this role, you will act as the primary communication source between Sales, Brand Marketing and other key departments, and be responsible for maintaining an effective communication flow of updates on brand strategies and plans, new item launches, item maintenance and changes, meeting information, marketing programs, and competitive updates. Additionally, you will partner with the Sales team to monitor sales and trade spend forecast, and analyze trade spend. This position is located at our Secaucus, NJ office, and has the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule.

Your Responsibilities as a Customer Sales Planner …
- Assist in developing the brand strategies by channel to maximize category sales and profits. Communicate those category/brand strategies, plans, and objectives to Customer Development divisions for execution with key strategic customers
- Works with the Sales team through the business planning process to ensure the brand strategies are executed with key strategic retailers and distributors to meet and exceed expected results (distribution, placement, promotion, pricing).
- Support the forecasting process by understanding and tracking key customer activities and market trends
- Monitor and track trade spending within each retailer and each responsible brand to ensure the funds are being used to promote positive sales
- Communicate clearly and consistently between multiple internal teams within the company
- Assist in the development of short and long-term strategies that will drive growth without cross channel implications
- Initiate business building tactics with the field sales force
You Need to Have …
- Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related discipline
- 2 years' experience in a CPG company with exposure to planning and/or sales
- Track record of success managing business for CPG with key strategic retailers
- Prior experience developing and delivering sales presentation to key strategic retailers
- Experience using syndicated data to support business development and sales efforts
- Ability to focus on priorities in a dynamic environment and consistently deliver results
- Strong written and oral communication skills- ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
