Full description of the position

The successful candidate will work with our customers and internal teams to build demand for Thermo Fisher’s Bioprocessing Equipment Automation (BEA) portfolio & capabilities. Focus will be within the Biopharma/Biotech sector, driving need for our hardware, automation, and consumables for our business globally.

You will be working closely with Thermo Fisher commercial, marketing, engineering teams, and integration partners to develop and implement tailored solutions at current and future customer sites.

You will develop a BEA commercial business strategy and work with the regional commercial teams to implement this by understanding the customers, competitors, region dynamics and market needs to drive business growth!

What will you do?

  • Responsible for demand generation for the BEA portfolio, funnel management, bookings, and achieving revenue targets
  • Define and articulate the BEA value proposition and product sales strategy in collaboration with leadership within SUD/BPG
  • Collaborate with commercial sales teams to drive accelerated adoption of NPIs
  • Analyze market conditions, competition, trends and industry dynamics to identify areas of new opportunity to grow the BEA pipeline
  • Proactively engage engineering firms to drive awareness of Thermo Fisher’s BEA capabilities and RFP inclusion
  • Improve communications with marketing to gather testimonials for VOC
  • Work with project management team to improve customer experience post sale by standardizing PM “playbook” – how projects progress through activities, how information is communicated to customer, etc.
  • Collaborate with the proposals team to ensure RFP responses are clear, accurate, correct, and timely
  • Drive BEA knowledge transfer to TSS team (especially new hires and those with limited hardware backgrounds) and influence larger BPG commercial team to prioritize BEA business growth

Who we are looking for: Experience, Skills & Abilities

  • 5 plus years in Sales and/or Strategic Account Management with experience in hardware and automation within Bioprocess or Bioproduction strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent
  • Demonstrate validated understanding of the entire BEA product portfolio
  • Outstanding team working skills to add new value in a highly matrixed organization
  • Expert knowledge of controllers and automation as well as technical background with networks
  • A proven track record of success
  • Travel up to 50%
  • Driver’s license
  • Remotely based position
The salary range estimated for this position is $130,000 - $150,000. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
