Magna Hospitality Group (MHG) currently seeks a dynamic Vice President of Sales for an immediate opportunity. This position reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.

The Vice President of Sales is responsible for leading assigned hotels' sales strategies and the business's growth and sustainability, including revenue and sales growth; related expense, cost, and margin control as it relates to the sales in our hotels. This position will be remote with frequent travel to Chicago and other areas in the Midwest. Our ideal candidate will reside in this area.

Responsible for the sales within the assigned hotels, the Vice-President of Sales will provide leadership to the MHG strategic planning process and will implement new strategic initiatives. Will assist and help grow the company through business development by working with the assigned property sales Teams.

  • Implement processes of standardizing goal-setting, accountability on results + validating deployment + incentives
  • Establishes effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develops strategies and programs that reflect the Company's vision and values
  • Builds and uses strategic partnerships to achieve goals
  • Coaches and holds others accountable for building strong working relationships
  • Assist in Pre-opening sales and marketing activities for all new hotels
  • Partner and support Operations, Revenue & Sales teams to identify and implement revenue-impacting strategies
  • Establish policies and procedures for the efficiency of the sales process and execute marketing initiatives outlined in the Annual Business Plan for both MHG and the hotel portfolio
  • Monitor the revenue performance of the portfolio and the execution of the related expenses set forth in the approved operating budgets for the hotels.
  • Provide strategic guidance with the Hotel TEAMs to address the sales process, promoting action plans to address production, and goal attainment for rooms and food and beverage, to meet the financial objectives of the approved budgets
  • Participate in the market feasibility, local market study, and formulation of proformas
  • Participate in required owner meetings and relationships, and provide financial data support and action plans related to the asset performance in the local market
  • Holds others accountable for creating a positive learning environment for their teams
  • Execute contracts relating to the budgeted sales departments in accordance with the budget and per company process
  • Maintain policies, procedures, and forms for the sales function
  • Direct and participate in the acquisition and growth activities to support the overall business objectives and plans
  • Identify and source business that reaches multiple hotels in the portfolio
  • Direct short and long-term planning for the development of the sales TEAM members

Qualifications:

  • A proven track record of career growth and exceptional performance in luxury and leisure sales with a minimum of 10+ years of experience
  • Build high-performance teams that maximize results for the company
  • Extensive experience in senior executive / regional roles
  • Ability to translate brand strategies and to position sales activities that drive group and business transient leads/ buyers into conversions
  • Communicate business strategies, goals, and priorities effectively and articulately to key stakeholders
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and balance multiple commitments simultaneously
  • Be organized, detail-oriented, creative, and analytical
  • Have strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with diverse groups
  • Travel within the US including overnight travel
