Now Hiring - Retail Sales and Display Associate in Brunswick, ME

We have an opening for an energetic and responsible individual to join our friendly sales team. We are a family owned retail furniture business, long established in Brunswick and enjoying a good reputation amongst the community. Our ideal candidate will be smart and presentable, have excellent communication skills, both one-on-one, or via telephone, and a friendly out-going demeanor, easily able to approach, and work with, potential customers.

Previous sales experience is by no means a necessity, but you will need to be able to learn about our product, its various advantages and features. The furniture we sell is primarily American made and of excellent quality. We do not ask you to sell items poorly made, or of inferior integrity. Rightly so, you can be proud of the furniture we offer. A genuine interest in fabrics and colors, and enthusiasm to help customers with design and bring their visions to fruition is preferred. Responsibilities will also entail calling customers to set deliveries, accept payments, update them on their furniture's expected arrival, etc. Some computer skills are helpful.

An ability to work as part of a team is necessary - as we do not operate in a competitive 'car sales' environment. You will need to work select week days and Saturdays, but we are closed Sundays, major holidays, and nights. Your schedule would be regular and reliable.

This would be a long term position for the right candidate and we ask that only those with a genuine interest apply. Our work place is relaxed and informal, a friendly atmosphere. Our employees very much enjoy the work place. General duties will include sales, merchandising and setting up of displays, day to day cleaning of the store and maintaining furniture displays in the most positive manner.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
