What You’ll Do: The Compensation Analyst will serve as the primary point of contact for our Sales Incentive plans and assist with the development, administration, and implementation of market competitive compensation programs, in general. This position will support Region Managers and Sales Managers in delivering monthly statements to sales staff and ensuring payments are made to the team appropriately. The successful candidate will be very analytical, with the ability to create and refine data in multiple platforms, particularly excel. The ability to multi-task and manage time will be required. Reporting to the Compensation and Benefits Manager, this role will also assist with other compensation and benefit related programs such as base salary analysis, annual bonuses, and benefits.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all sales incentive plans.
- Calculate monthly commission payments, quarterly region bonuses and other incentive elements for the sales staff.
- Track and calculate payments for splits, adjustments and must be flexible to incorporate other ad hoc commission situations.
- Create monthly statements for all Account Managers, Territory Sales Managers and National Account Managers.
- Work with Region Managers, Sales Managers and the Corporate Finance team to ensure budgets, gross profits and copper price fluctuations are captured properly.
- Partner with Payroll to ensure payments are timely and accurate every month.
- Create a process for monthly and quarterly reporting for Sales Management and Corporate Senior Management.
- Review and analyze data to recommend program changes that will lead to increased alignment with company goals.
- Identify gaps and opportunities to continuously improve the sales calculation process from a technical perspective, leading to greater efficiencies each month. This may include the design and implementation of a new Incentive Management tool.
- Participate in the management of additional compensation programs such as the annual merit process, annual bonus programs, job leveling, base salary analysis, etc.
- As a member of the Compensation and Benefits team, cross-train within the benefits function and serve as an additional resource during Open Enrollment.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- 3+ years of experience working in excel
- Analytical experience and problem solving
- Microsoft Excel proficiency is required
- Exceptional problem solving skills
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
