The DataWorks unit at AspenTech is passionate about delivering a data foundation that unlocks the value of our customer’s industrial data, from historians at the plant to the cloud at the enterprise level. Our products are at the center of the OT/IT convergence, enabling applications that are critical to manufacturing operation while making access and management of data scalable, configurable, and secure.

Our new Sales Account Manager, North America will expand the market traction of our software system, helping more and more multinational industrial companies to fully embark on global, seamless, and deep real-time system integration from field to cloud and back.
Your Impact
  • Build a funnel of opportunity by identifying new customers and raising initial interest for our product.
  • Managing the entire sales cycle, supported by our Solutions Consultant and Services team for PoCs and PoVs.
  • Communicating value, educating potential stakeholders and managing the commercial agreements.
  • Closing the contracts and hand over to internal and external integration teams.
  • Collaborating with our strong European partner network.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to formulate client strategies, manage clients and bring to closure strategic client opportunities.
  • Develop relationships at all levels in the customer organization, focused on IT, digital, data, and/or innovation executives.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the customer's business priorities, initiatives and relevant trends.
  • Overall strategic account plan, Opportunity Winning Plan, Competitive Displacement Plan and Pipeline Development Plan.
  • Respond to RFPs, Bid preparation, follow-up, negotiation and closing of sales.
What You'll Need
  • Experienced in enterprise software sales, preferably knowledgeable about all OT/IT aspects of large industrial corporations.
  • Mastering the consultative sales approach for a complex and powerful software system.
  • Structural, methodical, and paying attention to the detail.
  • Fluent in English, business-level language skills in another major European language is a plus.
  • Fluent in software architectures (mainly the MS stack, Windows Server, Azure), knowledge in industrial integration standards like OPC UA is a plus.
  • Self-organized, a MS Office Pro and equipped with entrepreneurial skills and ambitions.
  • A passionate hunter and strategist, always thinking ahead.
