Description:

Process Insights, Inc. (PI) is a fast growing, innovative company, focused on differentiated solutions and technologies used in chemical, petrochemical, semiconductor, pharmaceutical and other continuous process industries. PI is a premier manufacturer of high-precision process analytical instrumentation used for gas and liquid measurement, and analysis of complex compounds. Our products provide mission-critical solutions across a diverse range of end-markets worldwide; ensuring safe operation, reduced disruptions, downtime, and lost productivity; all while managing increasing regulatory complexity and cost in industrial processes. PI Brands include Alpha Omega, ATOM, COSA Xentaur, Extrel, Guided Wave, LAR, Hygrocontrol, MBW, and Tiger Optics. Our global portfolio of trusted brands is known for its consistency, reliability, and exceptional services that add value to our end-user’s applications and processes.

We currently have an opening for an Inside Sales Manager at our operating site in Houston, TX. The future of this role may result in project work at other Process Insights locations. The ideal candidate for this position will be an energetic, capable, self-managed, and experienced Sales Manager who will be responsible for all inside sales functions, including but not limited to supporting outside sales team members and channel partners. This individual will require a “get it done” attitude and a “team” mentality.

As the Inside Sales Manager for the “CosaXentaur” product line, you are an integral component of the overall sales team and sales effort in development and growth of our overall Process Insights business. The position reports to the VP of Sales & Marketing, Industrial. It includes direct responsibility for proposals, price management and other key inside sales functions, for customers and channel partners in the Americas. It will require close coordination with the outside sales teams and assuring that inside and outside teams are a collaborative and dynamic process. This position will also service Intercompany requirements for the EMEA business; our export sales to that team, as well as the management of pricing and price lists for the products imported and marketed from Europe.

Requirements:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a growing proposal development team, for responsive and accurate solutions as requested by outside sales teams (channel partners, RSM, product sales specialists)
  • Coordinate proposals with the Product Sales Specialists, for such time as that is necessary
  • Coordinate application reviews with the Product Sales Specialists for accurate and competitive, and (most importantly) winning proposals
  • Provide pricing tools and proposal familiarity training to channel partners and RSMs
  • Maintain quote tools
  • Maintain price lists to date
  • Distribute price list updates, communicate price increases, product configuration changes, etc.
  • Work with Service to assure that all “big box” analyzers are quoted with optional start up and commissioning and other related services
  • Work with the CSR team to assure that our proposals lead to orders that they can easily review, acknowledge, and enter
  • Adhere to corporate policies and procedures, health and safety policies, quality standards and laws, and legal standards
  • Maintain consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance
  • Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the Company or elsewhere subject to Company approval
  • <15% travel is anticipated for customer and sales channel meetings, and training
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned, including the support of other departments as required

Qualifying Attributes and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Engineering
  • A minimum of seven to ten years in a technical field or equivalent analyzer experience
  • Knowledge of industrial analytical products and applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft PC based software
  • Proficient with Salesforce
  • Proficient with Epicor
  • Well organized, self-directed team player and manager
  • Ability to function in a self-motivated manner, and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to assist with tasks, even when the work is out of the scope of responsibilities

Process Insights is an equal opportunity employer with a generous compensation plan:

  • Excellent earning potential with qualifying annual bonuses
  • Health, Dental and Vision Benefits Plan
  • Elective Flexible Spending and Dependent Care Accounts
  • Life Insurance Short and Long-Term Disability
  • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan
  • Paid Holidays and generous paid time off (PTO)
  • Tuition Reimbursement for qualifying degreed and certification programs
