Seeking long term help – these are not a short term positions. We are hiring active, fun, leaders for our team. Must work well with others, be self-motivated, and be detail oriented. This is a fun, and busy job.

Position Overview:

Our Front Desk Staff play a critical role in providing a first class experience to members, prospective members and visitors to Smithfield Fitness.

Together with our trainers, instructors and management, the Front Desk Staff are ambassadors of this club and will be the first point of contact for enquiries, complaints and questions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Our team and members will depend on you to be reliable and show up for your scheduled shift and be on time.
• Membership Sales.
• Greet and welcome all members and guests.
• Communicating accurate information.
• Check in all members and guests in accordance with company procedures.
• Communicate special events to members and guest.
• Maintain an atmosphere which makes members feel welcome.
• Facilitate all member requests or forward to a manager.
• Maintain a professional disposition at all times.
• Sell retail products.
• Schedule member services and events.
• Facilitate payment of member services in accordance with company procedures.
• Know club facility, services, and schedules.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Make and sell protein shakes.
• Assist in all projects as delegated by club management.
• Follow all policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
• Opening and closing duties.
• Attend any employee training meetings.
• Cleaning of club, equipment, and bathrooms

• A passion for health and wellness and the ability to influence people in overcoming their obstacles to exercising, joining a fitness club, and in making lifestyle changes.

• Commitment to providing top notch customer service and some experience working in a fast paced customer service role.
• Team player who approaches challenges in a creative and positive manner.
• Experience in a sales environment focused on attaining revenue and unit goals is a plus.

Physical Functions:

• Must have reliable transportation to be at Fitness Club on time for shift.
• Ability to work in a group or team setting.
• Face To Face Retail Customer Service experience.
• The ability to stand/work on your feet.
• The ability to be energetic and outgoing at all times.
• The ability to handle weights of up to 50lbs

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
