Diversified Communications is seeking a Marketing & Sales Coordinator to join our growing company! This role supports and implements the marketing and sales strategy and planning for all in-person events, print and digital media for the Commercial Marine and Grocery suite of products including the International WorkBoat Show, WorkBoat Magazine, [please apply online] Pacific Marine Expo, National Fisherman Magazine, [please apply online] and Floriexpo.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Support and execute marketing strategy to support sales efforts for product portfolio across multiple channels including email campaigns; social media promotions; lead generation campaigns, print materials; website content and optimization; paid and barter media tasks.
- Coordinate and execute annual space resign for live events including updating contracts, preparing sales and marketing materials, deploying email communications, and resigning exhibitors onsite.
- Execute sales marketing campaigns for meeting room sales, act as a point of contact for the Operations Team and external vendors in regard to meeting room logistics and maintain meeting tracking document.
- Manage public sales inboxes, collect, distribute incoming leads, and maintain lead tracking documents.
- Ensure effective, consistent voice and branding across all platforms. Promote and highlight full product portfolios as appropriate.
- Participate in marketing and sales meetings and implement action items.
- Work alongside Marketing Team develop a promotional strategy for all sales opportunities; collaborate with Sales team to develop tools for exhibits, online campaigns, and sponsorships to support budgeted sales goals.
- Utilize marketing promotions schedule and tracking systems for events and digital content.
- Create, update, post and manage marketing and sales materials to support exhibit, print and digital sales.
- Work with Sales Team on sales messaging; deploy emails to sales prospects and current exhibitors.
- Coordinate participation at competitive and partner events.
- Enter and oversee design jobs for sales materials (prospectus, marketing opportunities, etc.); update and post to website.
- Maintain fresh appearance of websites, including logos, images, links and special event highlights and updates throughout the year.
- Work alongside Marketing team to develop and populate social media channels as it supports sales efforts encompassing but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
Skills & Qualifications:
Knowledge: 1-3 years’ work experience in organizational and/or customer service role. Previous experience in sales/marketing/events preferred. Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, WordPress, Marketo or similar software/ systems preferred. Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) and other creative services such as Canva a plus.
Skills: Critical thinking and problem-solving skills; decision making; strong ability to plan; organize and execute projects; collaboration with a variety of internal and external customer/ vendors. Strong interest in developing outbound sales skills.
Abilities: Organization, flexibility, multi-tasking, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, initiative, innovation, teamwork, cooperation, working across departments, ability to work independently.
The ideal candidate will be an eager and enthusiastic learner, able to implement campaign tasks to completion, able to provide support to the Sr Marketing Manager, and Marketing Coordinator and collaboration with the entire event team including sales, editorial and conference colleagues to ensure the success of globally recognized technology events and digital products. Must be able to work across products and teams to implement effective best practices in a fast-paced and exciting industry. Will provide additional assistance to support the team on other products and projects, as needed.
Travel will be required!
