Description:


Position Summary:

The Business Development Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Director of Corporate Development and divisional staff in managing AD’s business development pipeline process for prospective members and target merger opportunities. The individual will also be responsible for identifying, tracking and maintaining dashboards and reports on new member prospects and possible mergers for AD. This will include summary reports to senior management, centralizing the storage of competitive intelligence, participating in the development of and organizing business development and M&A collateral materials, triaging sales leads submitted via AD’s website, providing follow-up support throughout the sales process as needed, and ensuring a smooth transition of newly recruited members to divisional staff for new member onboarding.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Research, collect, and analyze data regarding prospective members.
  • Continually improve and evaluate recruitment ideas, opportunities, data partnerships, and delivery of AD’s value prop to source new members.
  • Track targets / funnel and progress (such as questionnaires, proformas, etc.).
  • Design, build, maintain and update dashboards using AD’s CRM software tool and other pipeline tracking tools.
  • Effectively communicating the AD value prop via presentations, intro calls, and communicating regarding the scheduling of meetings, follow-up on action items and checking in on the decision progress by navigating long sales cycles.
  • Develop and deliver business development and potential merger reports to Director of Corporate Development, divisional executives, and other senior managers, as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for any prospective new member web inquiries and/or leads. Utilize discretion and collaborate with the divisions in evaluating prospective members and their appropriate candidacy for membership to AD.
  • Centralize the storage and reporting of competitive intelligence. This includes comparing AD advantages and key selling points versus competitive buying groups.
  • Partner with Corporate marketing and divisional staff to develop and update sales presentations, prospect engagement campaigns, and provide information to staff such as slide decks, recruiting and merger collateral materials, etc.
  • Maintain master data file of AD LLC unit holders, updating as necessary for M&A activity within the group, new member-owners and authorized member representatives.
  • Assist in the coordination of business development process best practice sharing across divisions.
  • Effectively leverage data to track key performance indicators, identify trends, and ensure business development projects align with company priorities.
  • Support the Director of Corporate Development and divisional staff in the development of project plans, timelines, status reporting, and key milestone management for merger and integration activities.
  • Perform related duties as requested.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or some other relevant field
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience supporting a sales or commercial team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM software tool

Additional Comments:

  • The position is based out of our corporate office in Wayne, PA, where we have a hybrid work schedule (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays in office with Mondays and Fridays remote); typical hours are 8:00a – 5:00p M-F
  • Occasional local and air travel estimated at 10% - 15%
