We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sales Marketing Coordinator to join our team! The Senior Sales Marketing Coordinator will work directly with Practice and Market leaders to create compelling sales tools, bringing NELSON to life for our clients. Your industriousness, understanding of our offered services and portfolio, and ability to navigate the internal customer relationship means that you can actively support Senior Leadership in winning work, and you will play a key role in the growth of the practice and the firm.

Main Responsibilities

As a shared service department that supports the entire firm, NELSON’s Senior Sales Marketing Coordinators sit at the point where strategy meets execution. Understanding the big picture will allow you to manage and contribute to the processes that result in consistent but expressive representations of who we are and how we work with our clients. In other words, when producing or creating content, you will be a crucial part of making sure we adhere to the company purpose, vision and practice mission.

Your primary job functions will be to:

• Establish Subject Matter Expertise: You will immerse yourself in your aligned practice, becoming an SME around practice mission, services and offerings, market drivers and trends, key competitors, key clients, value proposition and practice differentiators, portfolio knowledge, key stats and awards/recognition.
• Drive the Pursuit Process: You will assemble the pursuit team for kickoff, set and maintain their schedule, assign team roles and responsibilities, and manage deadlines and deliverables, setting further touchpoints along the way (e.g., draft reviews), ultimately resulting in a timely and distinctive proposal. A proposal might only require slight changes to pre-existing materials, or there might be a need for research, art direction, copy writing, graphic design—or some combination of these things. The key is working with the pursuit team to quickly understand what is necessary to communicate the most important information.
• Produce/create marketing materials: This would include presentations, capabilities books, qualifications packages, case studies (in collaboration with Brand Marketing and Practice Leadership), resumes, boilerplate pieces and any other business development tools. A core tenet of this responsibility is ensuring efficiency and effectiveness throughout the production/creation process, which will be best realized by appropriately utilizing approved resources (e.g., templates, decks).
• Support and represent practice at events: including client meetings, conferences, and trade shows (as needed, and when presence adds value).
• Support our other Sales Marketing Coordinators: While Senior Marketing Coordinators are affiliated with a practice and other Coordinators can be similarly aligned, we work together as a team to fill in gaps, connect the dots and complete any departmental initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Marketing, Journalism/Communications, Graphic Design).
• 3-5 years professional experience, including three years in the AEC industry.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time, especially when working without oversight.
• Ability to manage different personality types while still communicating professionally.
• Strong graphic design skills.
• Excellent writing skills.
