Our Engineering Sales Representatives (ESRs) average 10+ years of tenure and are known by our customers as the best in the industry. When our customers want to know about adhesives, they call their Ellsworth ESR.
RESPONSIBILITES:
The Engineering Sales Representative helps our customers to solve their problems by leveraging their technical expertise in material selection, testing, process requirements, custom formulations, and more to design innovative solutions for their prospects. This role will have the support and strength of our marketing team as the ESR uses their technical knowledge to captivate new customers and secure new business opportunities. The work begins with evaluating the market, developing leads, contacting prospects, making appointments, and determining application opportunities. The ESR audits the prospect’s operations, considers alternatives, prepares professional proposals and/or quotes, makes winning presentations, and gains commitment from the customer. Lastly, the ESR takes personal responsibility for the care of the customer through coordination of all parties participating in the relationship. This position is eligible for a flexible schedule.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience in a sales engineer or customer-facing sales role with a passionate for technical sales, working hands-on with customers and solving their problems. Adhesive experience a plus.
- Driven and self-motivated, with the ability to speak effectively and convincingly to all levels of the customer’s organization.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Proficiency on a personal computer and mobile devices along with knowledge of mathematics, database software, inventory software, project management software, spreadsheet software and CRM software.
- Due to applicable laws and/or customer requirements, as a condition of employment, this position requires the individual to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. This requirement is subject to an approved accommodation.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
