Wickford Appliance is expanding our outside sales department and are looking to hire immediately. We cover all of Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut. If you are looking for a ‘foot in the door’ in a growing local, family business… then this position might be for you.

Primary Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Develop New Business (onsite visits and cold calling) with Accounts/Partners
• Maintain Existing relationships with Accounts/Partners
• Maintain Customer Information Documentation and
• Coordinate deliveries and keep accounts on timely payment processes

Job Requirements:

• 1+ years of outside sales experience preferred
• Driving Record
• Ability to work independently and send in weekly reports to management
• Proven ability to set and attain goals
• Highly energetic, passionate and organized
• Excellent communication, computer and analytical skills
• Attendance at various functions/events (home shows, product shows,partner events, trainings, etc.)
• Professional attitude

The accounts/partners that this position deals with are – cabinet stores, architects, builders, designers, etc.

Other desirable characteristics would include resourcefulness and problem-solving capabilities, an ability to comfortably talk to different tiers of people within an organization (salespeople, facilitators, owners etc.), a team player, flexibility in occasionally covering in-store shifts, and general networking skills.

This is a salary position to which is further discussed at time of interview, a car stipend is provided. It is full time, 44 hours per week, Monday-Friday except for any fore-mentioned functions and events. Benefits are also available. The person we hire will be reporting directly to our Business Development Manager, Chris Grace.
