Your Responsibilities:
The Key Account Manager - OEM is responsible for particular OEM accounts, and reports to the Directory of Key Accounts. The Key Account Manager - OEM proactively manages the business with selected key accounts and commits to increase sales to these accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Develops new opportunities with existing and new key accounts.
- Operates in a global network to support local Key Account Managers and to establish excellent contacts with the key accounts.
- Coordinates the business of key accounts globally as interface between the key account and the FUCHS stakeholders, such as Product Management, Research & Development, Administration, Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, Logistics and Marketing.
- Sets prices and negotiates terms and conditions.
- Has extensive knowledge of the key account’s worldwide activities, product portfolio and applications.
- Represents customer interests towards FUCHS and vice versa. This includes identifying customer needs, evaluating business fit while applying a solutions-based approach to selling to obtain RFQ’s and/or other commerical opportunities.
- Identifies risks and solves conflicts.
- Is familiar with FUCHS’ OEM related product portfolio and its applications.
- Cooperates and collaborates closely with Product Management to ensure customer awareness of related products and their technical requirements.
- Monitors international markets and trend developments.
Qualifications we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an Engineering or related discipline. Preferred background in chemical or automotive.
- Experience in lubricants and/or automotive industry is a plus.
- Supplementary knowledge in finance, marketing and management.
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in sales and key account management.
- Outstanding consultative selling abilities and interpersonal skills.
- Decision maker with negotiation skills, willing to work under pressure.
- Strategic vision and planning while being proactive, and goal orientated.
- Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team spirit and able to work in international teams.
- Open-minded, diplomatic and comfortable with foreign cultures.
- Ability to travel up to 75% throughout the U.S.
