SUMMARY
The primary responsibilities of the Sales Analyst are to oversee business and data analytics for the company. The Sales Analyst manages the processes responsible for accurate data collection, processing, modeling, and analysis to convert insights into tools for strategic decision making and opportunities. Responsibilities include execution of business/data analytics activities and processes to enhance overall management information and business growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure accuracy of data and consistent reporting across all functions.
- Assist and/or lead cross-functional projects using data modeling and analysis to reveal insights for decision making and strategic direction.
- Oversee design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions, key operations and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with IT in evaluating, testing and rollout of new functionality and/or new systems to satisfy the businesses data needs.
- Oversee use of data analysis to help solve problems, opportunities and provide solutions for improvement across multiple projects and functions.
- Design Reports needed to track achievement of goals and incentives in our software system.
- Design surveys to support sales initiatives in the market.
- Assist managers with the development of monthly/quarterly business reviews and presentation to chains, key accounts, special accounts and etc.

JOB KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of a specialized field such as cost or general accounting, statistical programming, database management, etc. Equivalent to a high school education plus additional broad specialized training equal to two years of technical or other college. Over one year up to and including 3 years.
COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Diversified duties involving an intensive knowledge of a restricted field, and the use of a wide range of procedures. Requires the use of judgment in the analysis of facts and circumstances surrounding individual problems or transactions and in the determination of action to be taken within the limits of standard or accepted practice.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Under general supervision, where standard practice enables the employee to proceed alone with regular duties, referring questionable cases to supervisor or others.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR ERRORS
Probable errors usually detected in succeeding operations and generally confined to a single department or phase of company activities. Most of work verified or checked. Corrections may involve backchecking by others or some minor monetary losses.
CONFIDENTIAL DATA
Work with some confidential data of major importance such as development projects, profit margins, business planning which, if disclosed, may be detrimental to the company’s interests.
