The Sales Manager’s role at Next-Gen is to set high expectations for Sales Reps, assisting them in achieving their sales goals, while promoting a positive environment. The ideal candidate for this position will have industry experience to allow them to lead with credibility and provide solutions. They should be target focused and deadline driven. The Sales Manager should have the ability to establish firm command over their team, dispense tactical sales advice adding value during customer meetings, and monitor and strictly enforce the sales process. They will need to be able to hire quality talent and coach, train, and develop in a diversity of styles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To carry out management of holding Sales Reps accountable to their sales goals while providing training, coaching, and development to help them achieve their goals.
- To monitor and update the Sales Pipeline using it to discuss obstacles, create accountability, and provide coaching to improve outcomes.
- Be on the road with Sales Reps four days a week, building rapport and relationships with customers.
- To provide solutions for customers, operational, and service obstacles. Be able to provide industry experience assistance with product knowledge.
- Complete Business Reviews for the top 25 accounts within your team.
- Attend all in person sales meetings, Town Hall meetings, All Staff Envoy Sales meetings, and Next Gen weekly leadership meetings.
- Plan sales meetings with other sales managers (provide a detailed agenda including topics, and guests)
- To evaluate your team and summarize any gaps in their performance reported to the GM monthly. Rank reps top to bottom (using the Sales Pipeline), identify closed business, and explain how you will fix any problems in performance.
- Update the GM on sales rep obstacles that need to be addressed.
- To uphold a positive culture while resolving problems within your team.
- Sales management experience in janitorial/facilities supplies, food service disposables, equipment & service sales, or manufactured chemicals.
- Ability to network, seek, and generate sales prospects
- Proven track record of growing sales
- Ability to present information both written (Microsoft, PowerPoint) and verbally using clear and concise language
- Strong analytical skills utilizing Microsoft Excel
- Ability to learn and use Sales Pipeline software
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, effectively resolve conflicts, and a strong drive to solve problems while promoting a positive culture
