The Inside Sales Support Specialist is responsible for taking on new call-in or web sales opportunities, as well as growing and maintaining assigned house accounts. Assists Customer Service Representatives and customers with providing product selections and technical expertise, while providing sales and customer service support to team members.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assigned to specific house and representative accounts to serve, sell, and grow.
  • Prospects for opportunities within all local sales and house representative accounts.
  • Takes lead on new sales opportunities (via phone and web)
  • Assists Customer Service Representatives and customers with product selection and process questions while seeking to expand on selling opportunities.
  • Provide sales support to Technical Sales Representatives and Customer Service Representatives by identifying existing products within the local DC that meet a need identified by an internal or external customer.
  • Assists internal team and customers with product use or process questions.
  • Acts as an expediter for critical inventory issues or back orders by identifying viable alternatives and presenting them to the customer or Customer Service Representative.
  • Be a liaison between customers, vendors, Technical Sales Representatives and Customer Service Representatives in resolving critical inventory short falls.
  • Provide key customer inventory management assistance as assigned by the Sales Manager.

Position Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in the Composites Industry and or/industrial manufacturing required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of Inside Sales or Customer Service experience with a proven track record of sales success and/or technical skills.
  • Knowledge of composites markets required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Composite, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or related industries, is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to identify the needs and preferences of assigned customers and to coordinate with internal support functions to meet customer needs.
