Full description of the position

Outside Sales Representative General Job Description

Employment: Full time at will

Hours: 40+ hours per week; 8am – 5pm

Salary: $34,000- $38,000 TBD based on experience. Salary + incentive $

Benefits: Full medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with matching, car & phone allowance

  • Sales Reps will be designated a set geographical sales route (some exceptions apply) to sell the portfolio of Wilson McGinley products.
  • Reps are responsible for sales calls to licensed (liquor license) accounts in that territory as well as collecting data and submitting info for any new accounts opening within that territory
  • Sales call frequency will be based on account classification (A, B, C & On or Off Premise)
  • “A” On Premise weekly
  • “A” Off Premise once to twice weekly
  • “B” On Premise every week to 2 weeks
  • “B” Off Premise weekly
  • “C” On Premise monthly
  • “C” Off Premise every week to 2 weeks
  • Reps are responsible for meeting distribution and volume goals
  • Reps must merchandise all accounts and utilize print shop signs and supplier issued POS
  • Reps are responsible for selling in and setting up price features at accounts
  • All price features should be reflected and communicated to consumers with proper POS
  • Sales reps are responsible for properly utilizing resources to sell beer
  • Promotions
  • Samplings
  • Giveaway items
  • Programs
  • Reps are responsible for gaining displays and floor space within a beer store as well as properly merchandising the floor space
  • Reps should keep supervisors and managers in the loop concerning key accounts, issues, and success
  • Reps are responsible for communicating all important info to all accounts that are affected by the info
  • Reps must do their best to keep a solid working relationship with all accounts while following company policies and standards.
