Job Summary Team member responsible for supporting Problem and Change Management for IP Video. Role will partner with incident management and fix agent engineering teams to collaboratively determine root cause of incidents, establish and track improvements to prevent repeat incidents, evaluate data to determine opportunities to improve customer experience and facilitate planning, completion and monitoring of changes to Residential Platforms including leading a Change Control Board. The team member will also assist in the identification and implementation of creative processes and technology solutions within the team and identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement with regards to incident management, problem management, change management and communication. Acts in compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies and procedures. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Reliability Experience and Global Product Operations, led by James Manchester, SVP and Chief Reliability Officer, is responsible for developing and leading the programs that allow us to deliver on our dedication to providing the best, most reliable network, product, and service experiences, as well as a consistent standard of excellence, across our customer base, inclusive of those from Sky and our syndication partners. This group also partners closely with Xfinity Growth, Innovation, and Experience (XGIE), our residential consumer business unit, and the field to develop solutions that allow us to grow market share in unique channels, including multi-dwelling units, retail and higher education campus environments.
Core Responsibilities
Coordinates problem investigation and tracks problem task resolution activities for Comcast, Sky and Syndication Partners.
Collaborates, supports and participates in After Action Reviews with Engineering and Operations Teams.
Connects cross functional teams in a trusting setting to cooperatively seek root cause for incidents.
Partners to identify incident patterns and common themes to improve customer experience.
Works closely with incident managers and partner engineering teams to determine fixes and enhancements.
Reports status of problems and corrective tasks across residential products.
Assesses change readiness, identifies key stakeholders and deconflicts changes.
Works with cross functional partners to identify root cause of incidents caused by change.
Monitors change implementation progress and measures change success metrics.
Obtains an understanding of shared product roadmaps to better assess impact of change.
Participates in operational continual improvement activities including procedure and documentation enhancements.
Participates in regular meetings with stakeholders as needed, documents the results and communicates accordingly.
Supports the collection and understanding of metrics and KPIs to determine opportunities for shared improvement.
Acts as an advocate for Engineering Operations procedures, policies and processes. Ensures projects and initiatives are adhering to Company standards.
Tracks and reports operational workflows; maintains records of results and feedback. Analyzes data and metrics, identifies problem areas and provides actionable insight.
Contributes to design considerations for new products or architectural changes to existing products.
Analyses problems in design, configuration, data flow and data state within a highly complex multi-product provisioning system.
Performs routine maintenance tests for designated areas of engineering and ensures all maintenance is properly validated to minimize impact.
Provides training and guidance to less experienced team members.
Attains industry standard certifications and education.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
