We are a transportation and logistics company with decades of experience in the industry. We are looking to find a candidate to train to be a sales representative for our 3rd party logistics division. Once training is complete the candidate will have the opportunity to build their own customer base and provide transportation solutions for them. Successful brokers have the opportunity to earn significant commissions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers by exceeding their expectations.
• Develop and maintaining solid relationships with customers by providing them with excellent customer service.
• Build a base of customers through research and cold calls.
• Act as a link between customers, carriers, shippers, and receivers.
• Manage the movement of the customer’s freight, making sure that it is picked up, transported, and delivered on-time to the customer’s satisfaction.
• Update/track carrier/driver location information daily.
• Manage accessorial costs with customers and carriers.
• Negotiate rates with customer and potential customers.
• Problem solving driver/carrier issues.

Qualifications:

• The candidate should have some customer service experience.
• Any experience in the transportation industry is a plus.
• Candidates must be excellent communicators and be willing to make cold calls.

Compensation:

Once the broker is creating their own sales their compensation will be supplemented with commission.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
