Job Description


The Account Manager is responsible for strategic accounts and account / business acquisition in a defined category across all channels. You will create and execute short and mid-term business strategy and performance according to the account plan (delivering the month, quarter and year per plan) as well as responsibility for the relationship with the global key account leaders.

This position is virtual with at least 50% travel within the US and Canada.

  • Create and execute the account plan. For all the global and internal accounts, creates an account plan and aligns this plan with the global key account leader.
  • Leads the customer cross-functional team making sure all agreed actions are correctly executed. Also connects the category strategy with the customer plan.
  • Responsible for contract execution which includes follow-up on the contract and assures that all terms are executed as agreed. Will lead adjustments as needed. Also follows up on the contact end date. Will start the commercial proposal process and support the negotiation process as needed.
  • Adapt the mix of products to the real needs and potential of each market, aiming at the strategic interests of the company and customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve sales volumes (EBIT, Revenue, Physical Volume) committed in the company budget.
  • Define and negotiate prices to be practiced for each client / product in order to maintain the competitiveness of our products and segment profitability.
  • Understands complex customer requirements on both business and technical level.
  • Generates, develops, and closes sales opportunities with focus on most profitable mid-level accounts.
  • Develops presentations to resolve/address customer issues.
  • Provides input and educates product management, marketing and manufacturing organization on customer needs and issues.

Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $90,200 - $135,400 for the Account Manager I, and $101,900 - $152,900 for the Account Manager II. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent discipline
  • Minimum of 8 - 10+ years of sales/marketing experience
  • Ideally experienced with Key Account Management Programs
  • Glass, packaging, or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to find new market opportunities and prospect commercial investments
  • A strong financial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of value based pricing
  • Ability to analyze and validate sales forecasts
  • Excellent communication skills
