The National Sales Representative will work with national automotive aftermarket retailers on behalf of AGS and partner with their commercial sales teams to grow awareness and sales of AGS products.
The National Sales Representative will use a variety of tactics including in-person visits, customer training and industry events to deliver results while building productive and long-lasting relationships.
This role also partners with AGS sales leadership to forecast sales, identify new opportunities, expand product offerings, develop “out of the box’ sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of sales tactics.
Role and Responsibilities
- Identify the needs of assigned accounts and their end users, and suggest appropriate products
- Travel to meet with accounts, vendors, and prospective customers
- Develop sales strategies to draw in potential buyers or to solicit new potential customers
- Continuously expand knowledge of our product lines
- Move solid leads through the sales funnel, connecting them to a salesperson, and arranging in-person meetings, emails, or phone calls
- Always deliver exceptional customer service
- Build long-term, trusting relationships with accounts and position AGS as trusted partner
- Demonstrate product functionality accurately and completely
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Conduct marketing research and attend industry events where networking is possible
- Prepare and submit sales reports, and deliver presentations, if required
- Work cooperatively with AGS and customer sales team
- Seek self-improvement through mentoring and coaching from senior team members
- Provide coaching and mentorship to junior team members
- Analyzing budgets and sales reports and making recommendations for improvement
- Always remain in compliance with company guidelines
- Develop customer contacts including contact information for follow up
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or sales (preferred)
- High school diploma and significant work experience in automotive customer service, marketing or sales
- Automotive background (preferred)
- Demonstrated proficiency with Office tools, mobile technologies, computer applications and business systems

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
