Full description of the position

Under the direction of the Vice President of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager will assure attainment of profits and effective distribution of products by developing and managing the regional sales force established to meet the Food Service Division sales goals.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Prospects and interviews new Account Executive candidates
  • Selects, orients, trains, and conducts performance appraisals for regional Account Executives
  • Provides on-going field supervision of territory sales staff via objective setting and monitoring goals
  • Increases sales volume/profits through direct sales efforts and assisting regional Account Executives in the field
  • Develops sales objectives and goals for the Sales Department
  • Advises Vice President of Sales of changes within the market or with competition
  • Assists in preparation of and participating in Division sales meetings
  • Assists in collection of outstanding receivables of the Division
  • Provides input and feedback with regards to products niche development and product selection
  • Provides sales territory coverage for Account Executives on vacation or in the event of an emergency
  • Recommends territorial realignments
  • Manages customer profitability within region
  • Assists in developing the fiscal year sales budget
  • Participates in credit meetings or other sales related functions
  • Maintains fluency in all aspects of Account Executives duties and/or responsibilities
  • Complies with federal, state, and company safety policies and procedures
  • Recognizes safety sensitive issues and reports any concerns about housekeeping, safety, or damaged equipment to immediate supervisor or Safety Coordinator
  • Performs additional duties as delegated, assigned, or required

What Experience, Skills and Attributes Will You Need to Be Successful?

  • Fifth-year college or university program certificate; or two to four years of experience in Food Service Distribution; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must posses a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets Company established guidelines
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and Office applications
  • Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication, and follow-up
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors

What Do We Offer?

Pay Range: $105,402 to $125,402 per year (Starting pay is dependent on qualifications)
