Job Description
Manufacturing company based in Springdale Arkansas seeking a Sales Professional with a Mining and/or Demolition, Construction background to join an industry leader.
Products divided into three major categories: Drill steels and carbide tipped bits which are used to drill blast holes in quarries, mines and construction projects, Concrete breaker steels which are used by the general construction trade, Demolition tools used in mining and the construction industry.
This position would cover all customers and accounts in Northeast section of the U.S. Extensive travel will be required, representative must live in the territory.
The position will be home based.
Essential to this position:
· Effectively represent company products to our Distribution Partners, and targeted Direct Sales accounts.
· Executes the sales plan using effective sales techniques in alignment of the company’s objectives and mission.
· Continuously markets, educates and develops customers to optimize customer satisfaction.
· Develops comprehensive knowledge of customers, market needs, market conditions and reports as needed to the National Sales Manager.
· Creates and maintains strong business customer relationships.
· Executes the company policies and procedures within assigned region.
· Establishes and maintains customer files and contacts and updates this information as needed.
· Responsible for accurately generating sales reports, account planning, forecasting and problem management.
· Obtains and maintain knowledge of Company’s full product line.
· Generates leads and represents the Company at trade shows in alignment with the Company’s values.
· Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% depending on customer needs and development.
· Develops and implements a strategic plan with National Sales Manager to optimize sales.
· Handles objections and solves customer problems.
Desired Skills and Experience:
· Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience
· Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related field OR equivalent experience
· Ability to define market requirements; collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
· Comfortable calling on the owners of local area distribution organizations
· Communicate effectively in oral and written form
· Negotiate agreements
· Analyze and solve problems
· Proven record of being team-oriented
· Must be customer service driven
· Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow through skills
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by job responsibility
· Persuade and influence people
· Manage client relationships
· Strong presentation skills
· Work with Microsoft Office applications (especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)
· Ability to travel as required for the position
· Must be familiar with Customer Relationship Management
· A company car and expenses will be provided; the candidate will need to pass post-offer, physical, background and drug screen
