JOB DESCRIPTION

AJ Rental is an general construction equipment rental company seeking an energetic sales professional to build on the fast success AJ Rental has developed.

AJ Rental rents and sells construction equipment directly to the construction industry.

We currently have open OSR positions at all 3 of our locations; Escondido, Perris and Carson, California.

Outside Sales Representative is responsible and accountable for retention of existing customer base with continued sales growth. Source and grow sales with new business opportunities within Southern California. Collaborate with Sales Manager and Branch Manager to meet business plan. Prepare and present rental and sales contract agreements to finalize transactions. Extensive driving required. This is an account based sales position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors preferred or years of experience in lieu of degree
• 2-3 years’ experience in construction rental equipment or related industry preferred
• Valid Driver’s License

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong planning, problem-solving and negotiation skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and public speaking/presentation skills. Excellent organizational and computer skills. Experience with Dodge Reports and other data sources. Must be a team player and possess strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sales and marketing of rental and purchase of construction equipment
• Service and support of existing customer base, customer retention
• Sourcing new business opportunities

ADDITIONAL JOB RELATED INFORMATION
