Inside Sales (Lighting / Design)

Job Responsibilities

As a Lighting Design Specialist, you are responsible for selling new Lighting to professionals and their clients, as well as our retail walk-in customers. Working in a well maintained showroom environment, the Lighting Designer will be expected to maintain their assigned area of the showroom, meet with the professionals and clients who visit the showroom, maintain relationships with current and previous professionals, and provide excellent support and industry insight when requested.

Other responsibilities for the Lighting Designer will include :

• Contacting potential clients to set up visits and establish rapport
• Maintaining a level of professional knowledge about lighting products in order to better sell to and service professionals and their clients
• Creating lighting orders and confirming material arrival and delivery
• Assisting in showroom promotions and events
• Re-establishing communication with former professionals who have not recently purchased merchandise
• Following up on client orders weekly

Lighting Designer (Sales)

Our most successful Lighting Designers have come from a wide variety of backgrounds with no lighting experience. They are hard-working and have the drive to learn so they can excel in the industry. They have strong communication skills, an upbeat attitude with the ability to multi-task proficiently.

Other requirements for the Inside Sales :

• Ability to write effective business correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of professionals, clients, customers, and the general public
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate numerical data as well as calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages
• Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and general internet competency
• Ability to complete projects in a timely manner
