Our client is looking for a Direct Hire Technical Sales professional to join their team located in Bowling Green, Ohio!
About Our Client
Our client specializes in hologram labels, tamper evident stickers, security tape and mechanical security seals, which are commonly used to combat counterfeiting and/or tampering. They also distributes thermal transfer ribbons and labels through Thermal Images, which is a wholly-owned division of their company.
They conduct business globally and have over 5,000 active customers each year. Major customer groups include governments (USA federal, state, county, municipal and international), large international companies, retailers, and collectible companies. In addition, they provide products to brand owners, ski resorts, pharmaceutical/drug companies, hospitals, banks, trucking/logistic companies, and over 1000 small businesses.
Your Role
As technical sales team member, you will liaison between our technical team, production team and customers. In this role, you will provide technical support for our customers and sales team, working on both existing and new opportunities. This would include interfacing via telephone, e-mail, video conference and in person visits to customer sites. Your key aspects would include understanding the application and specific needs of the customer, promoting and selling relevant products given technical or performance requirements of the application. As a Technical Sales Manager, you will ultimately be able to understand both customer's needs and clearly explain and demonstrate how products work in various applications.
Your Responsibilities
- Work directly with Technical and Engineering resources to identify best solutions for customer needs. Including use of stock items, or development of custom solutions.
- Develop a thorough working knowledge of all products and production capabilities.
- Provide support to our sales team for new client (prospect) acquisition.
- Provide technical insight and performance criteria and key differences to customers to optimize product selection.
- Any other projects or responsibilities assigned by management
Reporting Relationships
In this position you will report to the Director of Sales.
Position Requirements
- Technical degree in engineering or related field or comparable (5 years) technical work experience
- 3 years minimum Inside or Outside sales experience
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle many projects or tasks simultaneously
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Some travel will be required, must be able to travel throughout the US for sales contacts
- Basic knowledge of production processes and custom constructions. We will train you on specific product knowledge.
- Must be proficient, or able to learn basic CRM/VRM, use MS Office Suite of products, etc.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
