Midwest Petroleum is a retail petroleum and convenience store chain based in St. Louis, Mo. Midwest Petroleum operates 55 stores within a 150-mile radius that employs approximately 560 employees. Midwest Petroleum markets fuel through the ZX and Conoco Phillips brands.
Position Summary
Responsible for opening new fuel accounts for Midwest Petroleum utilizing the company fleet account system. Prospecting and generating new business through leads & referral sources via a telephone, networking, and other sources. Understanding the products and services being sold to help provide answers and exact details to potential new customers. Finally meeting goals set by Management team.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Actively solicit new businesses via telephone, networking, and other lead sources, to help build a pool of potential new customers
· Manage and develop strong relationships with potential clients, and actively reach out to businesses in potential customer pools
· Prospecting and generating new business through leads & referral sources.
· Meet new business production goals and objectives as established
· Identifying target accounts and searching business contacts across the board to add to potential customer pools
· Scheduling appointments with qualified leads
· Communicate and inform management team about qualified leads
o Help management team develop plans, offer, deals, etc. to present to customers
· Negotiating and closing deals
o Utilizing company discounting guidelines after approved by management

Education/Experience Qualifications
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or three to five years of related experience
2+ years of experience in Sales or related fields.
Pay
This position is a salary + commission-based role. The starting salary will be based on the amount of experience an applicant is bringing to the table.

Environmental Factors
This position is performed within an environment of frequent exposure to a general office environment where standard office equipment is used such as a computer, copy machine, fax machine, telephone, etc.
Also, able to work outside of the office while traveling
