The Strategic Account Manager manages & grows market share within existing territory by focusing on large, key accounts. Additionally, the Strategic Account Manager is responsible for identifying and bringing in new accounts, managing new projects from initial idea to final shipment, and overall growth within our Western United States territory.
Compensations: Base salary + quarterly bonus + commissions (Total compensation can be more than listed because there is no cap on commissions. Sales goal for territory is $5 million)
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 2+ years' territory/account management preferred
- Strong preference for prior work in industries such as warehousing/distribution, third party logistics, retail, or material handling.
- Ideal candidate has worked with products that are manufactured out of different kinds of metals.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Opportunity to travel to see clients
- Must enjoy project management aspect of role beyond the initial purchase order.
- Needs outstanding analytical skills and must be mechanically inclined
- Must be flexible, assertive, stress tolerant, and able to handle change in daily actives
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Responsibilities:
- Establishes sales objectives be creating a territory plan and sale pipeline for assigned region in support of company
- Maintains and expands customer base by working with Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Sales Manager
- Builds positive relationship with key customers
- Identifies new customers and opportunities
- Recommends product lines by identifying new market segments and surveying customer buying habits
- Collaborates with internal departments regarding quality, production, productivity, and communicating customer expectations
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal network, and sharing ideas with sales
- Resolves problems and identifies opportunities for growth
