About the Role:
As the Sales Market HR Manager you are a partner to the business in executing the people strategy to support the sales organization, the implementation of key company initiatives, and ensuring the best colleague and customer experience. Through your partnership with the Central HR team, and key Support Office stakeholders you will execute the HR strategy for your Sales Market to increase sales and profit, as well as improve the customer experience.
This role will support the Sales Market to have the Best Teams by securing the Global Employee Strategy. You make sure that your Sales market actively works with succession planning, talent development and structured performance management, based on results, values and leadership.
The Sales market HR Manager will ensure we offer all employees fair and attractive work conditions and that all employee relation responsibilities, legal requirements and H&M policies are fulfilled to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues.
This role is based in Los Angeles, California and reports to the West Coast Sales Manager
Your Day to Day*:
Attract, Recruit and Introduce
You ensure that we have the right people on board in the right positions.
- Monitor and analyze your Sales Market’s future needs, including staff rotation and expansion for all store positions, take actions accordingly and follow up.
- You implement, facilitate and follow up on quality recruitment processes
- Support, organize and quality assure Assessment Centers for internal and external candidates
- Train and follow up on the quality of recruiters in the Sales Market
- Together with the Sales Market Team you plan, organize, secure and follow up introduction trainings for Area Teams
- Follow up introduction trainings for existing and new stores together with Area HR Managers
- Together with the Sales Market Team & Area HR Managers you follow up & evaluate HR KPI’s & initiate actions accordingly
Learn & Develop
You enable and support qualitative leadership and ensure that our employees have the possibility to grow and develop.
- Together with the Sales Market Team you support and ensure Area Sales Managers work with structured performance management for all employees in their Areas
- You ensure all employees in your Sales Market are evaluated and receive feedback on their results and contribution and receive a clear development plan or action plan to improve performance
- Together with Sales Market and Area Teams you follow up on the development plans in your Sales Market
- Map succession planning for your Sales Market and actively support and follow up that Area Sales Managers are proactively developing their teams, ensuring they are working with talent development
- Ensure, together with the Sales Market and Area Team, that Area and Store Managers have a “Next Me” with a clear succession plan
- Oversee the Sales Market’s internal talent pipeline and support the country organization with talents
- Monitor and analyze your Sales Market’s training needs, organize and facilitate trainings together with the Sales Market Trainer
- Quality assures the trainers in the Sales Market and the training stores to ensure the amount fills the needs
- Together with the Sales Market Team & Area HR Managers you follow up & evaluate HR KPI’s & initiate actions accordingly

Additional Information
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline is preferred or equivalent years of experience
- 1 -2 years of Area Sales Manager experience preferred
- Preferably at least 2 years’ experience in a Recruitment and Training HR role or project assignment
- Strong display of showing H&M people development, sales and efficiency driving measures
- Proven knowledge and actions of H&M HR practices, policies and guidelines
- Strong commitment and experience with providing a high level of customer service
- Strong professional maturity and the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information
- Skilled at solving conflicts in a direct but positive way
- Knowledge of federal and state/municipal legal requirements including Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, FCRA, etc. specifically relating to the areas of recruitment and training
- Proficient at Microsoft Office
- Required domestic travel at least 50% of the time
Job Status: Salary, Exempt
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is **$ 117,000 - $ 132,000 annually**
