Job Description
Title: Customer Service/Inside Sales Assistant
Classification: Exempt/Full Time
Reports To: US Sales Manager
Location: Corporate Headquarters, Bridgeton, MO
Date: 2/10/23
Job Summary: Customer Service/Inside Sales: Focus on communicating with customers daily concerning their orders which may include logistics, shipping, pricing confirmation, and preparation of paperwork, letters of credit, handling product returns and issuing credits. Represent the positive attitude of Zoltek sales and customer service department to the customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enter and maintain new and existing customer orders including confirming pricing, delivery and providing invoices.
- Respond to existing customer order inquiries in a timely manner via telephone and e-mail.
- Address potential issues concerning billing, service or products; refer product issues or service failures to designated departments for investigation.
- Interact with and support others on your team which includes sales, customer service, accounting, manufacturing plants, logistics and production planning.
- Prepare paperwork for outgoing shipments to customers and internal shipments between our locations (packing slips, proforma invoices, etc.)
- Assist in the in gathering of freight quotes for domestic and international shipments, including samples and orders, coordinate appropriate correspondence with customers and the plants e.g. for weights and dimensions of product samples and orders.
- Prepare letters of credit for international shipments; send copies to customers and the bank as needed.
- Complete DAP paperwork including shipping paperwork, tracing of shipment, proof of delivery, and issuing invoices.
- Help maintain records and participate in the quality review process for ISO 9001:2015 on annual basis.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required, AS/BS degree a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in B2B customer service, sales, logistics, experience with shipping documentation required.
- Manufacturing industry experience is desired.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, problem solving, technical and process skills.
- Ability to work with your team to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies and other.
- Effective written and verbal communication and basic math skills, experience with Word, Excel spread sheets and ERP system.
- Must be able to work in a team environment, work well with others and positive attitude.

- contribute to the improvement of the efficiency of the environmental management and occupational health and safety management.
