Full description of the position

Middleby Outdoor, consumer brands Masterbuilt/Kamado Joe/Char-Griller, is searching for an experienced Sales Operations Specialist. Reporting to the Director of Sales Operations, the Sales Operations Specialist (SOS) provides operational support to the Lowe’s National Account Manager (NAM). A qualified candidate will have experience in sales support and a knowledgebase around demand planning. The SOS will serve as the functional arm of the sales team, ensuring flawless execution throughout all phases of the sales cycle from initial presentation to product placement to execution at retail and online. Job functions include assisting NAM in preparing for customer appointments, product assembly and arranging sample shipments, attending customer meetings as needed, creating new items in retailer portals and finalizing them with enhanced content and media, monitoring sales results and providing insights, analyzing customer pipeline data and making recommendations, leading bi-weekly calls with the customer replenishment team, and working with operations to ensure on time shipment of purchase orders both domestic and direct import. In this roll, you will be responsible for the successful execution of the sales and fulfillment process end to end. As a member of the Sales Ops team, you will work cross functionally to achieve company objectives in addition to providing support to other Sales Operations Specialists, Account Managers, and the Director of Sales Operations as needed. This role supports both internal and external customers and can expect regular contact with operational counterparts at the retailer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Coordinate Customer Meetings

o Assist to create business reviews and presentation materials as needed

o Organize sample shipments to arrive on location

o Attend trade shows and customer meetings as needed.

· Item & Factory creation & maintenance

o Create new items and factories in retailer specific systems

o Enrich items with digital content and maintenance of Product Display Pages on retailer sites

o Maintenance items & factories according to retailer protocols

o Prepare price increase customer specific paperwork and execute appropriately.

· Review high priority orders to ensure expectations are met; recommend changes as needed

o Communicate complex PO updates to the customer

· Serve as the source of truth for item and customer data

o Subject matter expert on sku #’s, vendor #’s, costs, and distribution methods

· Revenue Assurance

o Push DI customers and freight forwarders for shipping orders as needed

o Monitor open order report and work with DC on order priorities and past due

o Execute allocation plan as defined by leadership

· Contract Administration

o Maintain Vendor Agreements in SharePoint and log pertinent details; share with finance

· Demand planning/Customer Inventory management

o Lead bi-weekly meetings with customer replenishment team, making recommendations on inventory needs

o Review customer inventory and weeks of supply; advise sales team of opportunities

· Ability to travel up to 15%

· Other duties as assigned

Experience and requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

· Five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Experience supporting sales for a National big box retailer, preferably Lowe’s or hardware channel.

· CPG industry experience required

· Comfortability working for an international company and strong working knowledge of direct import principles.

· Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and ability to work accurately, with interruptions, to meet deadlines in short lead-times.

· Meticulous follow up skills, closing the loop on projects and providing status updates on demand.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint

· Experience working in an ERP; NetSuite preferred.

· Exposure to product syndication software such as Salsify and experience working in retailer portals – preferably Lowe’s Vendor Gateway/Lowe’s Link.

· Communicate with co-workers, customers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.

· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

· Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful, with a positive, professional attitude.

Employment type: Hybrid, Fulltime, Monday – Friday. Middleby Outdoor has an office in Chamblee, GA and a distribution Center in Phenix City, AL. This position is a Hybrid role and must report to an office two days per week. The Operations Manager is responsible for supervising all activities of our facilities, which often involves overseeing team performance, expediting the receiving and shipping of goods, and ensuring efficient, organized storage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict.

· In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for warehousing, receiving, and distribution operations.

· Create and support NetSuite dashboards, reports, saved searches, KPI’s, and business processes that go beyond the standard NetSuite application.

· Foster a process improvement culture with Rapid Improvement Events (RIE’s) and continuous improvement events based on results from the Value Stream Map (VSM) process.

· Provides timely and correct information inner-departmentally and cross-departmentally as it relates to shipping/receiving/inventory matters. Recommends solutions to resolve problem areas.

· Ensures that all order fulfillment and inventory responsibilities are assigned to appropriate warehouse personnel.

· Creates and implements Standard Operating Procedures that will enable the department to meet all vendor guide requirements, customer needs, and inventory efficiencies.

· Monitors the Open Order report each day, promptly resolving problems to allow for on-time shipment.

· Analyzes all cycle counts and performs audits to achieve accurate inventory levels.

· Seeks to improve existing reporting procedures.

· Maintaining awareness and knowledge of the condition and location of all equipment.

· Keeps management informed of any issues that will affect our ability to successfully meet department goals.

· Keeps management informed of any issues that will affect business conditions.

· Ensures accurate timekeeping and absence management for subordinate employees.

· Coordinates and leads the inventory physical count events.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

· An associate degree from a 2-year college or technical school or equivalent experience.

· At least 5 years of demonstrated success in inventory management and people-leadership.

· A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in Lean, Continuous Improvement or Operations of Excellence.

· Must have proficient computer skills with excellent experience using Microsoft software and ERP system.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Lean Six Sigma Certification

· Continuous Improvement (CI) Certifications

· NetSuite experience within operations modules and processes

· PaceJet software experience

· Active CDL license

· Knowledgeable of OSHA standards

· Able to conduct forklift training/certification

· Forklift certified and ability to operate forklift proficiently.

· Experience with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook and Excel.
