OVERALL POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities through end-user engagement while maximizing distributor and manufacturer rep partnerships within the assigned region. They design and recommend sales programs and set short- and long-term sales strategies, evaluate and implement appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region's sales volume, and collect relevant competitors' market information to increase sales volume and market share. The Regional Sales Manager is also responsible for internal collaboration with leadership, marketing, product management, engineering, and operations as needed to develop a consistent revenue stream for the assigned region.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate, develop, and manage new business opportunities for Bivar Essential Components within the assigned region of: Western United States, with the primarily focus being CA, TX, OR, WA, AZ, NV, UT, ID, and CO.
- Meet and exceed the assigned new business opportunity goals for the territory.
- Actively promote the brand and products through regular visits to end-users, consultants/engineers, distributors, and tradeshows, seminars, and webinars.
- Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region's sales volume.
- Consistent and well-planned travel throughout territory, prioritizing activity for greatest ROI.
- Partner with distributor and manufacturers reps on joint calls with end-users.
- Partner with an established distributors network to generate sales activity, train distributor sales teams, maintain mindshare, develop targets, all with a focus on new business development.
- Develop new strategies to build business and seek new ways to build markets and market share.
- Provide accurate and thorough forecasts and actively manage CRM pipeline, including consistent follow-up of prospects and opportunities.
- Keep management informed of market and competitive dynamics, issues and other conditions that impact the business
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Active engagement and participation as an employee owner.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as requested by Supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field highly preferred with a strong technical acumen
- 3+ Years of experience in selling components and/or subassemblies in the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Strong experience in territory management and successful forecasting skills.
- Experience identifying, qualifying, and capturing long term business and growing markets.
- Ability to combine a high degree of technical knowledge with strong and persuasive communication skills.
- Talented in writing proposals and presenting company products.
- Computer literacy, including Windows, specifically Office suite, and CRM tools such as Salesforce.
