The Aviara Brand Specialist will provide support to ensure the efforts of the sales and marketing department accurately reflect the company and its progressive and growing brand. This role performs a range of duties related to the daily operations of the department to drive the profitable growth of Aviara by facilitating effective sales & marketing activities through retail distribution partners and all marketing channels.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This includes but is not limited to assisting in formulating sales and marketing plans, providing advice on sales and marketing initiatives given knowledge of local, regional, and national markets, driving successful retail sales approaches, and supporting market analysis and reporting.

Additional Responsibilities:

Must be willing and able to work various weekends throughout the year to provide sales and marketing support at regional consumer boat shows, VIP events, dealer open houses and other industry events.

Executing a wide variety of details that involve marketing trade shows and events, public relations, customer communications, promotions and other marketing plans

Assisting in sales production scheduling and communication with dealer network

Assisting in managing boat availability and calendar for events

Effective understanding of latest technologies and identifying how to apply them in various marketing campaigns

Assisting in coordinating various global marketing activities and their production

Assisting in the coordination and execution of photoshoots and other content driven initiatives

Assisting in working with the marketing and digital content agencies by providing input, coordinating and planning updates to all relevant social platforms

Assisting in writing, tracking and delivery of written brand communications

Effective project management skills: ability to operate under solid pressure and meet tight deadlines

Competitive product analysis and consumer insights

Education & Work Experience:

Undergraduate business degree from an accredited institution in marketing or business-related degree. Boating enthusiasts highly favored with experience and knowledge of the boating industry. Experience in retail dealer setting or marine industry is favored. Experience running or participating in industry events and promotions as well as regional knowledge of dealerships and end-user market characteristics also favored.

• Be able to communicate effectively in writing, meetings and one-on-one
• Demonstrated selling ability (prospecting, qualifying, overcoming objections, securing orders) and excellent presentation skills
• An ability to communicate effectively with people at any level – end users, service personnel, retail sales people, as well as internal departments such as warranty claims and engineering
• Strong customer service mindset to support both end users and the dealers who serve them
• Effective time management and delegation capabilities
• Ability to manage conflict
• Excellent persuasion skills
• Computer proficiency specifically use of contact management software (Outlook), Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Environmental Conditions:

Works primarily in office environment. Aviara quality standards and safety rules and regulations are mandatory.

Travel:

Out of town travel required on a frequent basis.
