Home Improvement Sales

We are hiring motivated Sales people to join the sales team in our Springfield store. Sales Team Members support Jerry's Value Mission of providing World Class Service by working with our customers and ensuring they are able to locate and purchase everything they need for their home improvement projects.

The Job

• Actively seek out and greet customers in the department
• Ask project related questions to understand the customers' needs
• Offer knowledgeable guidance on what they may need to complete their project successfully
• Provide solutions and alternatives, such as special orders, for product we don't currently have available
• Receive Product Knowledge training to be able to sell successfully
• Other duties as assigned

Coaching Provided

• Continuous opportunities to expand product and project knowledge
• Regular sales coaching and customer service training

Requirements

• Courteous, Tactful, Diplomatic, Outgoing, and Friendly personality

• Desire to participate in a team-based atmosphere that maintains high standards

• Prior sales experience, Home Improvement Sales not required
• Able to deliver world-class customer service in a fast-paced retail environment
• Ability to regularly lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 30-55 lbs.
• Ability to use a personal computer, mobile phone and radio
• Ability to stand/walk on concrete

Schedule

• Flexible Part Time and Full Time positions available

• Schedule may vary and can include opening, closing, and weekend shifts

Compensation

• Pay-rate starting at $15.00/hr. plus immediate commission
• Benefits available to Part Time and Full Time team members
