Full description of the position

The Commercial Relationship Manager is responsible to originate, underwrite, approve, and manage assigned commercial relationships; cross sell and develop core deposits and cash management products.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Develop new commercial banking relationships including loans, deposits, and cash management products/services:

  • Prospect assigned market utilizing a defined Sales Plan, and participating in community affairs.
  • Develolop and cultivate COI relationships within the GRB market footprint
  • Interview individuals/business owners and visit premises to understand the business.
  • Structure the terms and conditions of credit requests including core deposits.
  • Prepare Commercial Loan Approval Packages.
  • Approve, decline, or submit to appropriate level of lending authority.
  • Refer to Collateral/Documentation group to close the transactions
  • Manage, monitor and grow a portfolio of relationships to include, credit, deposit and cash management clients.
  • Have a working knowledge of GRB Credit Policy and general underwriting criteria


SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

Develop new retail/consumer loans and deposits:

  • Prospect assigned market utilizing a defined Sales Plan, and participating in community affairs.
  • Interview individual applicants and refer to Retail Relationship Managers as needed.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of CRA and Compliance Policies.
  • Have a working knowledge of other Banking Policies.
  • Work on select Bankwide projects as needed and recommended by senior management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor’s degree, in a business related discipline or commensurate experience required; Finance and/or Accounting courses highly preferred
  • 2+ years’ sales and/or relationship management experience, preferably in Commercial Banking and/or outside professional sales/business development.
  • 2+ years’ experience required in:
    • Commercial Business Development
    • Commercial Loan Underwriting
    • Bank Office Operations
