Responsible for direct and indirect sales activity with primary focus on the dealer organization and new parts business opportunities. Works primarily with dealer parts, service and sales personnel to stimulate and support the sale of Valley parts and services.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

- Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets.
- Researches and pursues competitive market opportunities initiating C/A requests when applicable.
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as call reports and work plans.
- Develops and initiates programs to enhance dealer/distributor relationship and sales opportunities.
- Review dealer activity to ensure compliance with Valley policies and procedures.
- Supports dealer sales efforts by assisting in customer contacts and joint programs.
- Reviews and monitors dealer sales activity and performance for potential growth opportunities.
- Works with other branch locations to coordinate parts and dealer activities.
- Ensures timely distribution of all company or factory literature and communications.
- Reviews, monitors and updates dealer literature, correspondence and pricing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, including sales presentation and customer complaints.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of company and factory parts and service policies and programs.
- Must possess a valid Driver License and clear driving record.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

- Minimum 5 (five) years of outside sales experience
- Knowledge of On-Highway vehicles a plus as well as emission rules and equipment
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED and/or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that has provided knowledge, skills, and ability necessary for satisfactory job performance.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Previous experience as sales representative.
