Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
- Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
- Pursuing new and repeat catering business that fits the hotel sales parameters per guidelines established by the Director of Catering and/or Director of Sales
- Handling catering sales for meetings and special events
- Establishing a strong networking presence within the local hotel community
- Developing and engaging in relationship-driven and long term business relationships
- Creating awareness of groups in all internal staff, communicating information with other hotel departments in timely manner to facilitate efficient purchasing, scheduling and staffing
- Providing personal attention to clients while they are at the hotel to ensure total guest satisfaction
- Developing relationships with local vendors for table arrangements, limousines, photographers, etc.
- Assisting in the development of banquet menus and pricing
- Conducting site inspections with potential clients
- Maintaining accuracy of Catering information in DELPHI
- Consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
- Lead the HAFH Experience

Supervisory Responsibility:
Manage Catering Events, supervise/ Manage banquet staff in the absence of the Banquet Manager.
Independent Judgment Used:
Frequently within the guidelines established by management and to the extent of operating within the Company policies and procedures.
Working Conditions/Environment:
Entire interior and exterior of property, banquet spaces, in and around kitchen and serving areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
Two years of Banquet Captain or Food and Beverage supervisory experience
Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements:
- Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates, service orientation, knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations. Knowledge of appropriate table settings and serviceware. Possess knowledge of all aspects of Banquet and Meeting service. Dependable.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, sitting, walking and climbing stairs. Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
